I’ll hopefully start working on it tonight if I have time. With Christmas coming up, I have a lot to get done. I’ll post photos of it as it progresses.

I did order the new servo horn but it didn’t show up yet...

Are there any girls on here???? I told my wife there aren't.

I looked that chassis up the other day and I got a little sticker shock. Hopefully it is awesome for you.

I made a lot of progress tonight! Still waiting on the servo horn though which is fine.

Please forgive my messy work bench....

Here are the two chassis side by side. So much more room!

I got the front end on with the new mega brace. It is substantial to say the least.

Rear end is on. I should be getting the rear center and tower brace in a couple of weeks. Yay Christmas!

Modified the servo mount to run the wires through.

And this is where I left off.

I will be rebuilding the shocks next with the m2c shock caps, mounting the motor, and the max6 esc.

Once it is complete I’ll take better pictures of the finished product. I’m not good at photography.

Got any new pics? How is the swap going? I’m really interested in this but $180 price tag is a bit to get past.
If I get some time today I’ll post some. I need to get better lighting around my work bench.

I knew about the chassis awhile back when @Overkill showed me so I was preparing to purchase it for awhile. Plus with the coupon code it was only $140. However, a new servo horn is required because the servo has to be flipped 180 degrees and is moved to the right about, i guess, about 7 to 8 mm. So another $16 for that.

For me, I could justify it. But, if you aren’t or don’t want to run a large can motor or esc then maybe not worth it. It does add extra stiffness for Large jumps.

Oh ok. I was using the mobile site on my phone....it looked like this but I switched to the full site and see it now.

Any time I buy m2c racing products, I buy directly from Mitchell. Amainhobbies doesn’t always carry everything nor will they always have it in stock.

Here’s an update!

Here are some of the latest upgrades except for the rear chassis brace which is pictured later. Max6, m2c extended servo horn, orange front and rear springs.

You can see the difference between the two servo horns. The top one is the tekno and the bottom m2c. Little did I know, I ordered the wrong spline! Doh! 24t is on its way.

I extended the linkage to 3mm.

With the new servo mount, the steering just nearly misses it.

Here is the new esc plate, with holes to mount the max6.

Side view. Note that if using a zip it isn’t really going to fit by the servo.

Mounted the esc originally like this but then turned it around so the switch and RX wires are in the inside.

Wires are neatly organized to the RX.

I mounted the switch to the front side of the servo. We will see how that works.

Rear brace installed. Still waiting on the other rear brace.

I should have the correct servo horn tomorrow and then I need to solder on a CC connector to the max6 and it should be ready to program.

Unfortunately, I live in what some people would deem the “Artic Circle” so running my ET outside isn’t a good idea lol. Sucks. It’ll be a few months before I can get this thing outside without fear of snapping a ton of plastic.

24t m2c servo horn came in today. Tested it out tonight and it works great.

I did do some work on my ET tonight. I moved the max6 to the rear and put my Hobbystar 4092 motor in.

So much room!!!

Where did you order the Max6 from? I have been tempted to get one from the Chinese factory supplier off eBay for $130.

I bought mine from RCmart off eBay for around $125ish dollars. Took about two weeks to arrive.

I can’t believe I have 12 pages in my thread lol

Anyways...

Got the motor wired up and the servo horn installed with the linkage set to 2.5 mm.

Still waiting for the rear brace. I will probably mount the switch on the top of the receiver box.

I used a button head screw for the servo horn. The cap screw rubbed across the top of the servo. The screw is a bit long but it works. I need to pick up a longer 2.5m screw to screw the horn into the servo. The stock one from hitec is a bit short and only a few threads make any sort of bite. I believe the stock screw is approximately 7 to 8 mm in length so I’ll pick up a 9 and 10 to try.

Still debating on how to paint the body. I might airbrush a cool design or something. We shall see.

So I cut out and mounted my jconcepts finnisher body last Wednesday. Took my et out to drive around and the top is already scratched up lol.

Oh well. I’m still going to paint some sort of design on it.
