Maybe a thick piece of lexan or something similar to use and make a riser for the wing?

i thought about just using some spacers but i think it would be too easy to bend/break then... i also kind of don't like how huge the wing is with the body, it looks silly behind the small MT body. a 1/10 wing would fit the scale a lot better I think. I think I am going to set the wing aside for now, maybe try it out if I do a DB cage setup...

I forgot to mention how the mud guards are a no-go. Rub on the body bigtime... poc from behind shows now little compression is needed before the guard hits the fender. I could raise up the body a bit to help but I dont like that solution so they're staying off for now. I think either a DB cage or a truggy body is in my future...

They look great! I try to throw on some titanium screws here and there.

These are my first (and probably last) titanium screws. Kinda sucks how Tekno went cheap and didn't include proper droop screws in the MT410 kit. Instead of giving them more money for something that should have come with it, I decided to give these a shot. I was surprised how light they are. it would be kinda cool to have the whole titianium screw kit but It probably wouldn't really save a noticeable amount of weight, and on a basher rig, not much point. nice bling though, and adjusting is easier and it does contact "better" on the chassis with the blank head, or so they say.

No harm I suppose but why titanium droop screws? Also, what do you mean they didn't supply "proper" droop screws? I looked through the manual and it shows them being installed upside down but I am not sure how they are not "proper"?

"Proper" droop screws have hollow shafts and can be adjusted from the top side with a hex driver. Tekno just included normal screws.

That is odd since they do include what you are describing in the other kits, at least the ones I have...SCT410.3/SL, EB48.3, EB410 and the ET410, wonder why they would switch those in the MT410?

Yep tekno only went cheap on it on the MT410 kit.

Yeah after a little back and forth between the different manuals I see they are just listed as button head screws, opposed to "droop" screws. Odd choice, I know its not considered a racing rig but that is a silly thing to skimp on for sure! Who wants to flip the car over to do a simple adjustment, especially when it needs to be rite side up to check your measurements.LOL

I like that setup! Not sure if it was discussed as I didnt read all the comments, but I'm betting that even with a fan the esc would run noticeably cooler if I wasnt on its side. I'm sure you know that or tested it and I'm completely wrong haha. But that truck is sweet. I really wanted the MT before I got the ET, and when I liked that so much that I wanted a second Tekno, I still wanted it, but I know I would have ended up getting the ET chassis for it to make it more stable, then I would more or less have 2 of the same vehicle. AMain had an MT on scratch and dent for about a week because of a dented box and when the price went down to 405 I nearly ordered it. I ended up getting the SCT as it's about the most opposite driving experience from the ET.

It seems to work fine, it's held in by a big ty-wrap and tape at the bottom, there isn't much space between it and the motor though so that might contribute to why the ESC runs a bit warm... it definitely isn't ideal but i'm not sure I want to put in the effort to make something custom since I already have another motor that will fit properly. I've been eyeballing that new Castle sensored for a while but not sure if there is any real benefit over the Tekin.

I'm only running on 4s so it's not like crazy 6s fast. I just wanted something that would run cool no matter the condition. i can push the huge heavy 7in tires through grass and don't need to worry about the motor temp and still go 50mph. Anything faster than that and it's pretty uncontrollable anyway so for me right around 50mph is the perfect top speed I'd like to shoot for. as it stands it goes a little faster than that so i've got a 21T pinion on the way, smallest that will fit unless I replace or remove the center brace.

Yeah I'm wondering if he'll get URC back up. It's been so long now I wonder if it's even worth it any more. Since all I have now is the MT410 I don't know if I would even bother going back to it now that we have this forum. rctech is OK but it just seems like most of the people there are clueless, and 200 page threads? cmon.. it's ridiculous. There is no much repeated stuff and missed info because the threads are just too long. The classifieds there are great, that's the only thing I like about that forum. I already like this one more.

Check this guy out, here's a pic of a very nice center diff top plate to mount your ESC onor go with I believe M2C RACING makes one also. Either way you can not go wrong with either's parts

Still need an ET chassis though
You are going to run an ET48.3 chassis? From the research I have done, they use the SCT410 CHASSIS. I do realize tho you can build it to your size and preference. If I were you I would wait on the new M2C RACING MT410 extended width chassis with multiple pre-machined mounting locations for ESC and BATTERY locations. ESC for sure, don't remember 100%, but you can message them on FB, they can let you know some sort of ETA on when the final testing will be finished and ready for release. I am just not quite ready to start mine so I am just waiting

I had no idea a new mt410 chassis was coming from them. I dont use FB so I miss out on the news I guess. Yikes might hold off then on the ET chassis, I kinda like the longer length but it would be nice to have a Normal width chassis for mounting options... got a fb link?

New shoes

Picked up a set of truggy wheels/tires for mild running, feels like they weigh less than half of the Proline Trencher 40 series beasts. hate the color (and dish wheels) but just wanted a cheap alternative set for street, etc, got em for under $50 to the door, not too bad.

Something else...

Also spotted this alum ESC plate on ebay... Don't care for how the plastic stock plate bends so much when zip-tying it. trimming it down to fit the ESC width as Billl DeLong suggested did help a ton, but if i switch things around now my plate is all cut up, so i figured why not give this alum plate a shot. Haven't installed yet... i noticed one of my o-rings under the stock plate were stretched out for some reason so I ordered a pack of new o-rings. instead of paying $1 each for the Tekno I found a generic pack of 50 for $4.

I was curious about this aftermarket brand so I went to the website listed on the package but it's mostly in Chinese and when you go to the 'tekno' category, it shows NOTHING. I see the seller on ebay (zack wagner - same guy selling the alum plates) has other parts made by this ALLRACING brand for the Tekno's, I assume he does business with them through FB.

You should hold off on the longer chassis and wait for the wider M2C chassis coming out.

Yeah I will wait. @0verkill posted a couple pics of it on rctech, looks pretty cool.

The alum esc plate wont fit with the big motor. I forgot I had to trim the stock plastic plate to make a little room.

So you dont have heat issues on your ESC with it mounted on its side like that? Ive got the Tekin Gen3 2250kv truggy motor in my ET48.3 with the Gen3 RX8 on 4s and when i run any of my big Proline 3.8 wheels/tires that combo does get warm pretty quickly, but ive never had to shut it down because it got too hot. When i was running the 3.8 Badland MX's at my local track doing near 25 minute runtimes in 80 degree weather the motor was just over 150 and the esc was showing only one more light before it would be maxed out on temp. Once i changed over to regular truggy wheels and tires the temps went way down... both my EB48.4 and SCT410.3 run the RX8 and 2250KV buggy motors and they never get very hot simply because of the smaller tires and less weight. Both running the same 4s batteries...
