This is very hard to type-explain so I made a Video.

The turnbuckle end is contacting one of the steering parts which results in my truck not turning as sharp as it could in one direction. What's the ideal fix for this? As seen in the video, I pointed out a couple of possible solutions. I'm wondering what I should do here. What's the consequence of me adjusting that screw position I pointed out towards the end of the video?

The truck turns fine in general, but I noticed this problem because at my local track there's one very sharp right turn that I'm awkwardly taking a little wider than the other Truggies.

Edit: Looks like that screw hole is the Ackermann adjustment. Has anyone else seen these two parts rubbing together when on the rearmost screw hole?

I assume you checked that your turnbuckles are the same length? I checked my car that still has the .3 geometry and it does the same thing but the turning radius is the same for both directions. Thats why I ask if you checked your turnbuckle lengths.

Please ask someone else to hold the camera for you next time, couldn't watch more than 30 seconds :)

I agree that the steering turnbuckles should be exact same length, highly recommend using a caliper to verify and adjust. Also check the spacers are even on your bump steer, if you removed your spacers then that can cause excessive binding to prevent throw.

They are the same length. 3 and 2/16ths of an inch. Originally that was not the case and the steering was even worse. I was able to make it better by making them the same length.

My washer setup is 4 over and 0 under on each side.

I adjusted my ACKERMANN setting to the middle hole and that removed the rubbing issue. I'll try that on the track and if I like it i'll just stick with it.

Yeah, the turnbuckles are exactly the same length. The camber links aren't exactly the same length, there is a difference there. I thought about making them the same length but then that would mess up my camber. The weird thing is though, my camber on the front wheels is fine. I measured them and they seem equal on each side at about -1.5 degrees. You'd think my camber links would be exactly the same length if they are both at -1.5 degrees but they're not. Does that sound like a red flag to you? There is some play in the wheels. I'll have to investigate that to see if something is loose or not set properly. Maybe that's related.

This may be a basic question but are both of the steering stops on the knuckles set the same?
