I have already had 2 diffs go bad on me within 7 runs. With stock diffs the rear diff blew out first after 4 runs. I figured I’d put in some M2C diff cups and upgrade my diffs. They came in and I installed all 3. Got 3 runs in and the front diff blew out. Both times it has been the spider gears, it looks like they basically exploded. I am running 6S but was thinking the upgraded diff cups would help them last longer. Any ways to prevent this on 6S?

Dear lord! Have you contacted tekno about this? The only thing I can think of is using heavier oil. Obviously this shouldn't happen with new parts, let alone multiple times in such a small window.

Ya I did the first time and they weren’t much help just that I can send the gears in and get 50% off a new set.

Wow, surprised that is all that was offered. I would have thought their customer service would have been full replacement. I'm disappointed to hear that.

I have been running my SCT410.3 for 2 years using the plastic cross pins and they have held up....I will admit I am only running 2s on that rig. I also have an EB48.3 that I have never broken a spider gear on in all the years I have been running it...and only rung that on 4s.

IMO 6s with "over powered" motors coupled with hard throttle/breaking dosen't surprise me the gears are exploding.

Just curious to weight oils are you running in your diffs, especially the one that keeps breaking on you?

Rear exploded with 50K and front exploded with 100K. Going to play with the punch control on my ESC see if that helps. I not ready to give up on 6S and go with 4S. Having too much fun on 6S. Anyone running 6S without a problem? Anything else I can try?

Kinda crazy my E-Revo (which is known for blowing diffs) diffs lasted longer on 6S then the MT410. I did have diffs go out in the few years I have had it but got that fixed by dropping some Losi diffs in it and have not had any problems with it since. But I also have a lot of upgrades on it because most stock parts break. That's what I like about the MT410 everything is so beefy, makes the E-Revos parts look really bad. Now just disappointed the MT410 diffs are giving me problems.

I know the motor says it can handle 6s but that is a lot of KV for 6s power and that may be part of your issue IMO. I was running the same motor on 4s in the past and found it to be way more than I even needed with my EB48.3. I have since been running a 1900kv and thats the sweet spot for me on 4s.

Try gearing it way down...should have asked all of these questions at once, but what gearing are you running?

This is definitely not normal. I've been over-powering Teknos for many years and have never had this happen. I would carefully inspect the diff action and see if anything is binding. Other than that it could be a manufacturing defect.

Stock spur and 15 tooth pinion.

I'm hoping it was a bad batch of gears or something. I guess Tekno does not think so since all they said was I can use their 50% discount. When the new set comes in Ill give it a look. For your Tekno's do you run any upgrades or change anything out on your diffs or you leave them stock?

My front/rear diffs are completely stock. My center diff gets an aluminum case and steel spur.

I would look at reducing braking power and adding punch control on the ESC. I think we always underestimate how hard the torque can be on the drivetrain. Especially with a very powerful 6s setup.

I have exact same setup on 4s. It is more powerful than my Kraton 6s. I got 12 runs before my rear exploded. I believe I had a bad landing on throttle. But I ordered 3 m2c diff cases. I get flex from 4s. I can only imagine 6s. Did you figure it out?
Castle 1515-2200 kv sensored motor with a mamba monster X

Not really sure, I have only gotten 2 runs on the front and 5 runs on the rear. They have exploded after 3 to 4 runs so should find out the next few runs. I have messed with the punch control. I did 25% and 40% and did not notice any difference in it. So, I am guessing I'm doing a good job on my own about no mashing the throttle from a stop. Right now, have it at 60% but have not taken it out yet.

After investigating, the plastic diff case flexed just enough. These gears are hard. I have a Kraton with all 3 aluminum diff cases and I haven't destroyed a diff since. Tekno gears are WAY better. My m2c cases will be here today so hopefully this will be over.
