Do you mean a 1/10 truggy or a just truggy in general? They do have the ET48.3 and NT48.3 for 1/8 truggies.I have been a loyal Redcat fan for many years now. I have been buying Redcat products for years and have accumulated quite the collection. Redcat has truly stepped up to the plate and has some amazing models under the Team Redcat brand.
Just recently I have become obsessed with Hobao products, so I'm now actively starting to build my new collection.
I've owned one Tekno, which was the original short course model. It was built like a tank and I was thoroughly impressed by the quality and parts support. I wish that Tekno would expand the line and offer a truggy, but I can certainly understand that they focus on the popular classes such as 1/8 ebuggy and short course.
I have flown a Phantom but do not own one. It is impressive as hell, but I don't think it was ever meant to be fun. It is a serious photography platform. In that arena, it is a stand out.@MailManX yeah, I think your wife may be on to something there
I've owen a brushed stampede, a nitro redcat volcano, and a arrma kraton. I also have a dji phantom 2 that I've flown a total of 10 times. The quadcopter is neat and everything, I just don't get much enjoyment out of flying it, maybe naza mode would help that.
I have GTR shocks to go onto this which at least are 3.5mm shocks.

For people just learning to fly drones, I think that a relative "cheap" GPS-enabled drone such as the Bugs B2W is a good place to start (I have one and can vouch for it's excellent value and great performance). That way, when the newbie pilot gets disoriented, he just lets go of the sticks. When he gets lost, he switches on RTH. Some call that cheating, but I see it was training wheels. My kids all learned to ride a bike using training wheels. Use the quad with it's GPS training wheels, then use it without that as you get better!I have to agree with you there about not meant for fun. I see you have airplanes, are those fun to fly? I've been looking into them while at the LHS but haven't decided on anything yet.
