Is a 500oz torque NitroPro servo strong enough to steer an EB48.4?

Yes, the NitroPro CT3 is about the best performing servo I know on the market today and it comes with a 1 year warranty on the electronics and lifetime gear replacement making it a no brainer to invest in:

I have a CT2 in my HB E8T that is approaching 3 years old and still going strong.

Would this be a good choice too?

I think 1/8 scale racing has evolved over the years and those platforms demand top notch electronics/gear to best insure a finish during 10+ minutes of punishment. If Nitro Pro, and other companies, want to offer a great warranty at a reasonable price... I think I would have those servos atop my wish list.

500 oz-in of torque would be plenty perfect for 1/8 scale anything.

I'm still using a 200 oz-in servo (XP DS1015) in my EB48 2.0 buggy :p😬😆. Even though the manual recommends at least a 300 oz-in servo, that's what I (and many others) ran in earlier eBuggy platforms. That servo has been discontinued many, many years ago. I kept buying them, because my first one held up beyond my expectations. I've lost track of which DS1015 servo is which, because I put those servos in pretty much everything over the years. Heck, it could very well be the one I bought used from someone on URC forum years ago ;);).

I don't know how much more "bulletproof" you can make a servo than what's currently the popular ones out there today. Five years from now... I can't wait to see what turns up. All you Joneses out there keep pushing the limits (y).
