410 2.0 I'm either going to convert my MT410 2.0 to a SCT410 2.0 or sell it (I already have a SCT410.3... Is it worth having a 2.0?)

I built a MT410 2.0 a few months ago just for the heck of it. I put a Castle Copperhead ESC with a Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro XL540 2700kv to run on 3/4s. Here is the thing... It does nothing for me. I like my crawlers, my trail trucks, my 5th scale rigs, and my race rigs (ET410.2, SCT410.3, Associated B7D). The in-between stuff just doesn't put a smile on my face. I Have a local 1/10 indoor clay track that I enjoy spending a little bit of time at. It looks like it will run me about $250 to properly convert this to a SCT410 2.0, But i'm not sure if I really want to considering I already have a SCT410.3 that has proven itself over and over again. At this point I am contemplating either cutting my losses and selling it or converting it to a SCT and having it as a backup or full sending it to compare it to my 410.3. What are your thoughts?

I would only maintain a backup car if I was racing competitively or if I had a friend/family member that I wanted to share the spare ride to enjoy the hobby with me. If neither of those situations are relevant then I'd sell it and move forward with something else.

Screw it. I'll just keep it and convert it to a SCT. Then one day if I get the itch, I'll convert it back to an MT

Why don't you add the EB48 2.2 chassis to it for something that handles differently to what you have ? Cant see there being any difference from sct. 3 you already have

That is very intriguing... I'm going to dive right into that and do a little research.

It appears that the MT410 2.0 and EB48 2.2 have a very similar wheelbase. I have some spare wing mounts and body mounts. I may just find a buggy/truggy body, convert the hubs to 17mm, and try some 1/8 buggy wheels on there. Just try something completely different.

I believe you meant to say the SCT410 2.0 and EB48 2.2 have very similar wheelbases. In some cases, 1/8 scale buggies and SCT platforms will use the same chassis. (y)

On a serious note, I was totally into getting a Team Associated Rival MT10 (RCT forum classifieds) and transforming it into a mini truggy, but person didn't want to do PayPal transaction. ;) ;)
We shall see where I end up on this one... I still may yet turn it into a truggy, or short course truck. I would be i terested to see how it holds up compared to my 410.3
