Esc tape!

What is the best esc tape? I used some heavy duty 3m double stick foam tape and the esc flew out of the bug on the second battery.

Obviously a question that is often asked enough to have its own thread...LOL
Make sure you clean/wipe down the two surfaces that will be stuck together with rubbing alcohol. That will ensure the adhesion is the best it can be. Even with dbl sticky tape I would still recommend to zip tie the esc down to the mount. You wont have that problem again and it will help save your fan from breaking sooner than expected.

I prefer velcro.

I just use a glob of shoe goo.

I always keep a slot in my pit box tray filled with alcohol swabs, I use them to clean the beads on my tires/wheels before gluing, as well as tape prep and to clean wiring and my dirty fingers at the track too

I prefer velcro.

Used Velcro, it works great. Also a zip tie for good measure.
Thanks for the suggestion. I like that if I have a problem or want to change it out I dont have to clean up double sided tape.

I used Gorilla 2 way tape and the only time I had the esc fly out was when I did the install ((without)) cleaning the surface with alcohol.
