Here she is in Monster truck mode. Simple swap of rc4wd 12mm hex adapters to associated 17mm rc8t extended adapters...and some monster tires.

@Chainsaw10 have you had any issues running those wheels/tires with that setup? They look huge on that truck.

Looks like an awesome look for a Mad Max style build to me.

No issues whatsoever. It can take big tires and big power. A couple weeks ago I swapped out the whole sct410 driveline out and replaced with et48.4 parts. I swapped everything....now this truck has all the extra beefy 1/8 buggy parts(universals with 8mm axles,eb48 center driveshafts, bigger outdrives, beefier buggy arms/hubs/spindles)
This truck is just as tough as the mt410/et48

One of my favorite things about the Tekno line up is the compatibility of parts throughout the bunch. Such a smart and simple concept.

dude that thing looks sick. tekno needs to start making a desert buggy.

SCBE cage looks so awesome on there. Nice out of the box thinking and fab skills. Hope to see a vid of it in action someday.

The Wraith cage also looks good. Axial could only dream of Tekno beefiness.

Thanks guys. I’ll try to get a little video soon.

So are they just taking all the needed Tekno RC parts and bundling them in a "kit" or doing something else I wonder.

Most likely a bundle. Pete has upgrade kits like this available for the SCT410 to 410.3 as well as the ET,NB,EB,and NB to .3 status.

Not a Tekno, but here’s another similar build I’ve been messing around with. This one is with a truggy length chassis.

It’s a HPI Apache C1(King Motor version). They bought the rights to HPI’s Apache trucks. But I hacked it up a bit, fit some 2.2 tires, installed a Hobbystar 4082 2000kv motor, installed wing/wingmount.
It’s basically a Vorza 1:8 scale buggy with a D8t length chassis.
I got this truck RTR Bbrand new on eBay for under $200. They usually are listed at over $300. It’s a great truck and compatible parts with all my other HPI and Hot Bodies 1/8 scales...I’ve got a bunch of them.

What wheels are those @Chainsaw10?
They’re DE Racing 17mm hex short course wheels. Tires are Proline XL Super Swampers. I had to trim the inner bead of the tire to fit the wheel.
