I just realized the SCT410.3 was released in 2015. Now that the EB and ET are in 2.0 revision. Is the SCT410 the next in line for some upgrades? Or is there no enough interest to do so?

SCT is pretty much dying off, I have talked to some reps from TEKNO and they said there were no plans to update the SCT anytime soon, they have way too many other things going on with the other platforms.

Yeah SC has kinda been dying...

Dont tell folks at SDRC in San Diego that. Tekno 410.3 is the cats meow. A real buggy chaser. A good 2S battery, Tekin 4300 with the RX8 esc and SEND IT!!

I've wondered myself if TLR or Tekno are ever going to make a new 4wd SCT - they are both around what 6-7 years old? ancient... I'm guessing the class just isn't popular enough for them to invest into the R&D, as they are both still "good enough" and only compete with each other's same age design.
I kind of doubt TLR would ever bother now - it seems Horizon is all about the RTR world just like Team Associated. Leaving only Tekno, why would they bother to spend the money when they have no competition, it makes sense not to. Even still, I would love to see a new SCT based on the ET410, a 2wd and 4wd version. I'd get both! I'm aware of the prostar conversion but I don't own an ET410 so that isn't cost effective, and if I did I'd race it in the class it was made for.

I agree, no point in releasing something new if nobody is offering anything better. In contrast I don't think it would take too much effort to revamp the 2.0 into an SCT, but still more trouble than it's worth at this point.

I recently traveled from Texas to Florida over several months in my RV and raced at a handful of tracks along the way. I did see a respectable turnout for 4WD SC with TEKNO pretty much the standard.

I believe the only thing holding back the class is the 2S limit by ROAR... they have it all wrong and need to amend the rule to limit to a 3660 can instead, there are many SCT motors in the 2000KV range where running 4S is extremely efficient. I once raced my SCT with the nitros and made a full 20 min main on a single charge with very low temps on 4S... it was a blast! If they started hosting 20 min mains for SCT then I guarantee the class would explode overnight!

A new year and a new two weeks... :p

Sniff, sniff. Ahh, yes. I can almost smell them easy access diffs.

There were pictures posted on fb with someone holding a new Tekno sct in a podium picture. Sounds like versions are being actively tested.

Please post a link!

Please post picture if anyone has one. I will be buying one if they come out.

Rumor has it that Jerad Wiggins was at Indy RC world and that speculated there was no reason for the 22nd driver in the world to be driving SCT unless it’s for development of the new one.

I’ll see if I can find the other pictures posted, someone snapped a pic of him putting a battery in it.

Looks good, may have to pass down my 410.3 to my kiddo and build one of these when it’s actually out. He will benefit from the weight and strength on the older design.

So I have multiple of all the Tekno 1/8 scale. And I love them all they eat up the track. Built my fist sct 410.3 last fall only got a handful of track days in before the weather turned. And it is a great truck. But it is very different compared to the 1/8 scale

So my question is to those with more sct experience under their belt

What is so much better or upgraded. My Tekno’s rarely break and at 450$ I need some convincing before I throw my hat in the ring
