If you're running huge Turnigy Graphene batteries or any other soft case lipo (technically they have G10 plates on the top/bottom) it's extremely important to protect them from the center diff outdrive. I used a 2mm thick kydex sheet, a heat gun to shape it, then drilled the holes with a countersink bit.
You'll want to use 2mm longer screws of course.
I also made one for frontal impact protection.
