I have been enjoying and building this truck for a couple years. This is the only (monster truck) I care to play with anymore because the others feel crippled compared to it. I wanted to share some things I have done to it that made a big difference for me. First was the differentials and spur gear upgrades (originals exploded). I went with the steel 44t spur, 18t pinion, and Fioroni differentials (front, center, and rear). Next was the M2C game changer mega brace (milled to fit BLX185) and aluminum top plate (too much flex is bad for differential). I went with 60,000 cst on the center diff fluid and 30,000 in front and rear. I like the fluid thick for power slides and stunts. Shocks fluids are as factory recommended and tightened for the added weight. Now for the part that makes pretty people cry… powed by the Arrma BLX 185 with 2050KV and a HiTEC HS-7955TG. Battery tray was too small so I cut it and shoved a trimmed Arrma 6s tray into it. I did not like the body mounts that came with it so I drilled the shock towers and put Arrma body posts front and back. I switch between Backflips and Dboots exabyte tires depending on condition. I can run 6s but I don’t enjoy it as much as 4s. It handles like a street car in the dirt!

I am in the process of finding a solution for a tower to tower brace on mine. During its maiden voyage, I busted up the bug body, ripped a screw out of the rear diff, had a shock blow fluid all over my electronics, and bent my rear shock tower. How do you like that unbreakable bug body? The proline one lasts about 1 upsidedown landing. Nothing wrong with powering with arrma electronics. If it ain't broke...

It is really the most durable body I have had. The driveway has chewed it up some but I do crash a lot. The bug being rounded helps soften the upside down rolls a lot.

It won’t fit the factory body mounts they are too wide for the bug body.

I just ordered the Ford Raptor body. I am going to do the shoe goo/drywall tape and manufacture a brace that also goes up to the roof of the body like the arrma trucks do.

Another cool thing about the unbreakable bodies is you can plastic wield them back together if you punch a hole or rip it.

Blx185 is plenty, even on 4s for me too. Nice mods👍 I had a similar setup for a t2t brace. I used an Arrma center brace, threaded through aluminum angle I had attached to the towers, which also served as body mounts. Was really durable.. then I tired of the short wheelbase and put everything on an ET48 chassis. She's my "race" rig now. Not seeing any stunting these days. I also swapped the blx185 for a TC combo, pretty stout on 4s.

The tower to tower brace is just a u shaped piece of 1/2” aluminum that has a notch cut to tightly fit over the towers and zip tied to hold it in place.

I see it, doubled up the shock towers too👍
I just find myself running track (for fun) more than jumping these days. My brother and I race on a track at the house. Lots of fun!! 1/10, 1/8 and even some Xmaxx's door bangin!!😁👌

Originally, I had a Redcat MT8 truggy body, then after extension, a TC Punisher body, using Arrma mounts, Losi posts.

You in Georgia near Cobb county? I will give you a piece of aluminum. I’ll even cut it for you if you’ll let me.
