Want to pick up a couple of 6S batteries and a decent charger.

Well I’m after good quality of each so what would you guys recommend?

Needs to be able to handle a 6S 5000mah single charger is ok but a dual would be ideal.

Thanks

I’m U.K. based and doesn’t look like they are readily available, I’ll do some more digging ??

Scrap that found Icharger in the uk

@EvilT I'm using the following setup for my LiPo charging needs and it's a beast.

Charger: iSDT Q6 Plus
Power supply: HP 24v 1000watt

Funnily enough I’ve just been looking at the ISDT D2

NB: to add your kit as awesome as it is will be a little overkill for me, I’ll only need one 6S in my truggy and one in my Arrma and a spare.

For my sins I have a Traxxas dual charger and 4x Traxxas 3S (came in a deal with my E Revo)

Been using this one on Maxamps batteries unfailingly for years:

Okay, I admit the charger and batteries are expensive. But their quality, warranty, and service are outstanding. And their battery performance and runtime is stellar. Are there less expensive alternatives that work just as well? According to others on the forum, yes. I can’t say for sure because I’ve not tried any other brand. Maybe I have more money than sense, but I like using the best and Maxamps has never let me down.

Here's a list of a few 6S hard cases. I left out the ultra powerful Turnigy Graphene pack because they require battery tray modifications for safety purposes. I also left out the Turnigy Basher pack because it has been discontinued. My Vant pack is performing well and has the best warranty at least on paper. My SMC packs have not been very reliable. If I were buying a new one today I would probably try the new Powerhobby pack that just came out.

The only thing that I have noticed with the Vant warranty is that it says 50% off retail price. That 6s battery that you linked has a MRSP of $145. So I'm guessing that the price would be $72.50, which is still a savings of $12.50, but not really that great of a deal in my opinion. Now if it turns out to be a great battery and lasts 3-4 years, it could be a great deal but if it goes out after a year those small savings wouldn't really be that great.

For the record I haven't heard anything bad about Vant batteries. I just noticed that about their warranty when I looked them up awhile ago. Let us know how it goes if you ever have to warranty the battery.

Decided as I’m investing what I am in cars, tools and other kit the only real way forward is a PSU & DC/DC charger.

I’ve got a PSU sorted I just now need to settle on a charger, ichargers look nice but are little £££ then there is ISDT which are in a better price range and I’ve seen good reports on the one Woodie lists above (Q6) but then they do the T8 which would give me some head room as off the bat I’ll be using it to charger 5000 6S lipos

Availability to me is limited in the UK, what are these brand lines like?

Turnigy Nano-tech 65~130c

Turnigy Graphene (Black and red version not the Panthers) 45~90c

HRB graphene 100c (100 as continuous discharge)

I would recommend using a hardcase battery. Both the Graphene and Nano-Tech are soft case.

Turnigys are excellent for their price. Bashers may want to close the wire end of the soft packs from rocks.
