Yes, it’s obvious from looking at both trucks that the 2.0 is more durable, but how would a superlight perform on a rough outdoor track ( potholes, etc ) and for light “bashing”. No skateparks. Just small jumps, messing around at campsites, etc. ilwould also like the option to race at the local indoor track with a 3000g weight limit. Would that be possible and how different are these two on the track. I just want to have fun. If I end up being competitive, then that’s a great excuse for another light weight build. Any guidance greatly appreciated. This would be build #2 to run with my ET410.2. My son always wants to drive it instead of his rtr cars. The ET does ok on the rough track but a little more weight and wheelbase would probably work better.

I only have feedback based on my observations of the SL at various large 1/8 tracks in my area. They are based on the ET410 platform and are notorious for blowing out the front/rear bulkheads. Very rarely did I see an SL make it through a race day without a DNF.

If I was going to be a basher or racer, I would only consider the 2.0 as it's designed for 4S power right out of the box!

I have not seen any 2.0's in person, but I used to race the SCT410.3 and the 2.0 has made so many improvements over the .3 that I wouldn't even consider going back to that dated platform either making the 2.0 a no-brainer.

Hard decision for sure. I love it. The 3000g weight limit thing... I assume that this is for carpet track. Yes?

I don't have the 2.0 but a lot of people around here do. Being that they are based off the ebuggy, they do seem to more durable. They seem to hold up better on the bigger 1/8 tracks compared to my 410sl. I probably won't race mine on the larger tracks anymore, doesn't hold up as well with the bigger jumps. Also being lighter it moves around more in the air, especially if it's windy. If your sticking to more 1/10 size tracks the 410sl is fine. And since you already have the et410.2 most of the parts are compatible. The 410sl is basically a et410.2 with a different chassis and wheels.

My next question is, did you have any issues while running your ET410.2 on the rough track? I'm just a "basher" and loved everything about my ET410... making the decision to get a SCT410SL to bash on backyard track was easy. Definitely one of the best things I ever did in the hobby.

I come from running lighter weight 2wd SCT platforms. I've always added at least 4 oz. of weight to them to calm things down on the bumps/ruts. After running the SCT410SL for the first time, I knew what I had to do... I began selling off all my 2wd SCTs.

All I can say is, you dudes at Tekno RC headquarters... you all rock! When the 2.0 came out, I was in total awe. Two SCTs out at the same time to choose from... who does that? Tekno does that. I will forever be thankful to Tekno for keeping SCT alive!🤜🤛🙌🙌👍🙏🙏

I went ahead and started on my 2.0 build tonight. The thing is a tank. I couldn't imagine breaking this truck if I drove it off a 2 story building 😝 My first Tekno, and it's pretty darned impressive so far.

I'm so excited for you. 👍
And yes, the thing weights almost as much as a tank. Don't skimp on the powerplant.

Might I suggest the Tekin 4300 Pro 4 HD, the regular Pro 4 would be better for the 410SL. The Tekno 2.0 is a bit heavier.
