I am currently building my nb48 2.2 with an O.S Max21 engine. I am using Tekno metal servo horns. I noticed my linkage for throttle is way to high compared to the ball on the engine. I turned the ball on the servo to the underside and put linkage underneath servo horn instead of above.
Has anyone else had this issue? I found an old vid of Adam Drake running linkage underneath.

If everything clears there's no reason you can't put the linkage underneath of the horn. However it was designed to be on top. We typically rotate the ball on the carb to make it like up to the linkage being on top.

I didnt think I could rotate the ball? I see a set screw on top of the ball but a.i said not to touch that.

You can definitely rotate the ball, that's why they have a setscrew there. That particular carb might have a setscrew on both sides, so be sure to loosen both before twisting to where you want it to go. You can also loosen the pinch bolt on the carb to rotate the entire carb. That way you can line it up with the servo horn to ensure the smoothest pulling action. Be sure to tighten everything back down once you have everything where you want it.

I loosened that set screw and ball moved freely. Thank you

Do you know of any good videos on setting linkage, endpoints etc? Im new to building linkages and setting transmitter.

Thanks

Here's a few I found on YT. Tebo talks about the linkage at 25 minutes and again around 45 minutes in his video.

I am currently running the linkage on the bottom with the same concerns.

But then again, I haven't broken in the AD3 yet lol.

Any issues we may encounter if linkage was ran on the bottom?

I loosened the carb ball abd moved up and moved my linkage back to top.

You could run into clearance issues where part of the linkage hits the servo or part of the center diff.
