EB410 motor fan

Picked up a nice used EB410 less transmitter and receiver. It has a YR motor fan and I don’t know where to hook it up. I tried ch3 on my Futaba R304SB receiver but started smelling hot wires. ?. The fan is a jst connection. ESC is a Tekin RSX.
Any suggestions would be great.

normally those jst connectors will fit the servo pins just fine, just need to make sure you have the polarity right, I think the negative lead is the pin on the far outside edge of the Rx

Chances are that’s what I didn’t have quite right. I will try it again but black to the outside.

Can you adjust bec? May be set at 8.4v... outside pins are negative.

Must have had red on the outside. Works fine now with black on the outside pin. ?
