Hey all—I'm looking for short course tire recommendations.

Here's the issue I have.

-> I run my SCT410 2.0 on 4s and use it as a basher
-> It seems like the 410 2.0 has a wider track than that of a SCT from Arrma or Traxxas, and therefore, the 410 2.0 needs zero-offset wheels to keep the tires from rubbing on the body
-> Most zero-offset tires are designed for racing, not bashing, and balloon like crazy on 4s
-> SC tires that are capable of 4s and do well for bashers are typically not zero-offset

Are there any recommendations for SC tires that are 4s capable that are also zero-offset that you know of? And preferably, tires that come pre-glued?

I gotta ask, what motor are you running on 4S? I hope the kv is in the 1700~2000 range. I don't know what speeds you are looking to achieve, but I don't think you're not going to find any SCT tires that are belted.

I think SCT tire don't have the traction you need for 4s. If you're willing to ditch the fendered body I would recommend 2.8 Proline Badlands. That's what I'm running on my 4s SCT 410.3.

Yeah. I did build a Monster Slash 4x4 and run the Pro-Line Monster Fusion body on it. I'm running a 6s ESC and motor combo that I pulled out of my Sledge. It literally does backflips. Crazy air control.

On 4s, most of the Pro-Line SC basher tires work really well. I ran my SCT410 2.0 on Pro-Line ICON SC tires the other day on 4s and I had no issues with traction, even on loose surfaces. The ICONs are not an aggressive dirt tire, either.

I was mainly looking for a Pro-Line-like basher SC tire, but one that has a zero offset, since the SC tires that Pro-Line offers come pre-glued on the 2.2/ 3.0 Raid wheels that have removable hexes. Because of that removable hex, the most narrow offset you can get is 2mm (and that's for a 17mm hex adapter).

I was hoping I could find a basher-grade tire that can handle 4s, yet comes pre-glued with a 12mm hex with zero offset.

The other brands of RCs that you mention use shorter arm design and need a wheel with greater backspacing/offset to be in the same realms of a typical Tekno, or TLR race-bred SCT width.

Whether you are "bashing" or racing, it's the design of the platform that determines wheel backspacing/offset. A lot of SCT wheels of the same style/design can be purchased with different backspacing/offset needs.

Also, just because a person says they are using a 4S LiPo battery does put the whole "puzzle" together.

?
Prolines narrowest hexes for their sct wheels will work.
