What parts do you recommend buying extras of before racing. In case they break or fail and don't have a shop close by etc.

Thank you for the in depth reply. It covers alot. I'm just getting into the sport myselfA person certainly can go overboard with spare parts if going to a track with no hobby shop support. Some will go as far as having another kit on hand to rob from. I don't race anymore, but beside the usual bearings and spurs, I'd have spares for anything that involves taking on barriers, pipes and spikes... servo, outer driveline components, hinge pins (and inserts if applicable in the 2.0's case), shock shafts, shock mounting hardware, and steering hardware/linkage.
But, before anything, grab some aluminum shock caps. I hate to say it, but that's the only thing that's a "must have" part to get right away for durability concerns.
I've tumbled, violently cartwheeled, and lawn darted the 2.0 countless times from 4' heights... super happy with the SCT's ability to take on Mother Earth.
