I’m wanting to build an MT410 but I’m stuck on the wheel/tire set-up

I like the size and zero offset of the Arrma Dboots set-up, but can’t bring myself to run it as it’ll make the truck look like a ‘cheap’ Arrma. This Dboots set-up that is similar in size to the Badlands, are those the 4S or 6S version?

The common Proline Badlands/Desperado looks good and is the perfect size, but I do not like the offset of those wheels as it makes the truck look wider than necessary.

Duratrax wheels look ‘cheap’

I like the Proline Tech 5/Trencher set-up below, does anyone know of it will fit?
The other issue is, they have been discontinued

I’m finding it very tough to find a zero offset MT wheel/tire set-up for this truck!

Lol, i might have just answered to your FB post too.

In short:
Take the Backflips LP (4s version)
They don’t look bad
Even the rim design finally grew on me
The limited offset is soooo much better, truck feels composed!

I feel your pain! I had the same dilemma/concern/opinions when I was doing my build. It doesn’t help that everything comes premounted too so when you pick the tire you want your stuck with whatever wheel comes with it ?‍♂️

I went so far as to buy a set of premounts with the wheels that I liked, remove and discard the tires, and then mounted the tires that I wanted. Not exactly cost effective.

I agree with Nicochau. The Backflip LP is a good tire. I hated the rims at first but compared to some of the alternatives they really aren’t that bad.

So what did you wind up going with?

Depends if you want or need belted tires. And the wider offset makes the rig more stable which should be far more important than "appearance". If for some reason its not, then get yourself a set of wheels and tires that dont look "cheap" and have the skinny offset that looks right to you for when tge truck is on display. Ive got many sets of wheels and tires ranging in size from the standard Bandlands mounted on the older 1/2" offset black Proline 5 spoke wheels, a set of both the non bekted mx38 and super swamper premount 3.8" Prolines, the newer set of Tencher low profile 3.8" and the big belted 3.8" MX38 both premounted to the proline wheels that come with both the zero and 1/2" offset hubs. While the MX38's are the biggest and heaviest, they are by miles the most controllable setup when running a 6s setup at speeds over 40mph. The lower profile badlands and trenchers dont balloon much either and are the tires I typically use if Im messing around on a track or am setup for higher speeds. For mostly onroad use I have a set of the all terrain Sweep belted premounts which have zero ballooning issues at any speed Ive run up to around 60mph.

I like the size and zero offset of the Arrma Dboots set-up, but can’t bring myself to run it as it’ll make the truck look like a ‘cheap’ Arrma.
Personally I would just stop caring about looks and chose components based on how they perform.

If the "cheap" arrma tires work well then who cares if they are "cheap"? Unless your goal is to show off how much money you spent?

Same thing I feel... honestly the dboots backflips aren’t my favorite looking but damn do they perform well. ????

Backflip LP's all day long..!! ?
I've had nothing but trouble with Badlands also they're more expensive and not as good as the Arrma's.......

At the end of the day it's your choice, but far too many people run Backflip LP's on many different rigs with all sorts power and they work ?

Function over form any day of the week.

Questions guys? Where can I get those tires with the same rims in the top picture? Please I over did it and bought tires that are way to big and soft, for my MT410..and its heating everything up with only 10 minutes of run time on 4s.

May be too late but I listed an unused set of Pro-Line Badlands 3.8's mounted Zero Offset Desperado wheels on eBay yesterday... I went through a similar thought process to you of preferring the narrower truggy style stance when embarking on the e-conversion of my truggy. Life got in the way and the project was never completed hence selling the tyres unused now.
