Thought I would make a post about the new yeah racing heatsink and dual fan setup installed on my ET48.3 which has a Hobbystar 4082 1600kv motor.

The setup definitely works as it has reduced temperatures by about 22 degrees Celsius (71 Fahrenheit)

This is especially useful as on 6S the motor was hitting 90 Celsius (200 Fahrenheit)

The dual fans are plugged into the third port of the receiver using a Y splitter.

I ran a few batteries through the car today and the fans are still working perfectly and the heatsink hasn’t moved or loosened.

Unfortunately the heatsink has had to be fitted using 1.5mm washers as the fins on the can make the motor slightly too large diameter to fit perfectly without the washers. I must also mention that I had to drill a hole in the lower portion of the heatsink in order to make it not foul on the centre chassis brace.
