It has been at least 3 years since I last bought an RC new. Forgot how gorgeous those kits look:

In this build thread, I'll take you in a slow discovery of the kit:

and since the buggy itself has already been very well covered by other members of the forum, I have decided to give my posts a twist by making regular comparison points with prior models for the readers to be able to appreciate the updates.

First element: the chassis - it is massive!!

Look at this beast: EB48 2.0 (left) and MT410 / SCT410.3 chassis (right)

EB48 2.0 chassis = 350g

MT410 chassis = 221g

So, I’m building a tank ?

Towers

This is the only part that is smaller. But smaller in this case does not mean weaker, pretty much the other way around actually. No more lip above the top holes and a nice thickness across the whole part.

Front towers EB48 2.0 (left) and EB48.4 (right):

Very sweet thread! I was planning on picking up one of these as well. My current build has me a little stripped for cash though ? what electronics are you going with?

I'm stripping one of my .4 from his electronics, current plan:
  • Savox 2274 brushless very quick servo
  • Mamba X ESC
  • SMC 1900 kv 4268 sensored motor, I also have a Tenshock 6 pole motor that I like a lot and I am considering too.

Driveshafts

Nice comparison of parts! I had no other Tekno buggy to go by, but now that I have seen you put them parts side by side, I'm so glad I waited for the 2.0 to hit the stores. I really like the shock tower pictures... short & stout!!?
