Hello Tekno Forum,

I just purchased the EB48 2.2 and planning to get into racing. Would like to know what is everyone running to get a good base line into entry level racing. I am completely new at this and I would like some recommendations where to start.

I only purchased the car itself. I have not started purchasing anything else, as I am trying to get some feedback to what to purchase.

Thank you in advance

Hello,
I'm new as well so take my advice with a grain of salt, but first start at your local track you want to race at.

Ask what type of tires people are running on the track, if they are any specifications to motor/esc or anything else.

My first build was a EB48 2.2 aswell, I am running:
  • a XERUN XR8 Pro G3 + 4268SD 2200KV G3
  • 16T pinon
  • ProTek RC Digital High Torque 155T Servo
  • Redline 2.0 Series 6300 mAh 15.2 V 140C
  • Flysky Noble NB4+ receiver
you can buy less expensive electronics, but these are the ones I went with based on my research and availability

If you're asking about electronics, I'm running a HW xr plus g2s, tekin 1900kv and protek 170 tbl. There should be a gearing chart in the manual to help with the gearing. It depends on track size and what kv motor.

Thank you for the response. Will definitely look into the tracks I’ll be using to race. Just wanted a good baseline where to start.
