Hi fellow Tekno fans.

A few buddies of mine bought EB410.2 kits and we're going to try out hand at racing. I am not new to RC, but I am new to racing.

Here is the track: https://sdrcraceway.com/. Here is the class we are running:
  • 1/10 buggy "stock" class (4wd)
  • 13.5 turn stock motor
Almost everything I've asked employees at the track has made sense except for the ESC/ motor recommendations.
  • One employee recommended the HW XR10 PRO G3X Combo, a 160 amp ESC
  • Another employee recommended the HW Justock G3S Combo, a 100 amp ESC
Being a basher for the past 5 years, I would think there's a big power difference between 160 and 100 amps.

Is that the case for racing, too? Or should I call the track again to clarify?

Also, are there any alternative ESC/ motor combos that are stock 13.5T that you would recommend?

The just stock has a motor limit of 10.5t
The 160amp version has a motor limit of 4.5t, which is why it has a higher amp rating.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but for stock class you should be fine with the 100amp.

I stuck a xr10 pro in my Associated b74.2, but I know it's more than I need with the 13.5t motor.

Have you ever checked the data log peak amps results?
