Pardon my son’s air hockey table.
Those wheels look good on your truck. How are the tires that come with them. I ask because the Arrma version of the tires are thin and tear up quickly. My Daughter used them on her MT410 and I'm always looking for something better for her.

Thanks. I have never seen a pair of legit Backflip 4S tyres, but these are definitely not thin. I bought them because someone on Facebook said they weren't thin. Bending the tyre back to glue it really required a good amount of force.

They use adaptors to alter the wheel hex size, so I have my doubts how long they're going to last.

I got them from here. At the time they were the cheapest including shipping that I could find.

Also could you weigh them?

I weighed one, and it was 305 grams. How does that compare with legit Backflip 4S?

EDIT: I've just found this list that someone put together. Looks like the Backflip LPs are 280 grams. Is that correct?

I just weighed a Backflip LP at 306g i thought they were a bit lighter...
I also weighed a Backflip tyre mounted on a DMS Racing Speedline dish wheel at 266g

Edit to add: Backflip 6s wheels weigh at 380g and have a much harder compound rubber.

Edit 2: Just got some Proline badlands 3.8 MT on raid rims Part #PRO117810, with a tread that's almost identical to the Backflips. They weigh in at 244g. They are the smallest of the lot. The rubber is fairly soft and feels somewhat thin, especially compared the the backflip 6s

Cool, thanks. It would be interesting to compare the compound of these knock off Backflips versus the real deal.

Let's see how they hold up over time :)

I ordered a set of those Ali specials you linked to, so i will compare them to what i have.

Nice one! I look forward to your comparison.

Which colour did you get?
I just went plain black.

Really looking for some lightweight dish wheels in black with a 1/2" offset. Proving difficult...

Thanks! Sounds fantastic overall. I’ve ordered a set of carbon fibre mudguards which are exactly the same shape as the Lexan ones that Tekno sell. Hopefully they won’t interfere with the wheels.

Pardon my son’s air hockey table.

I've replied to you in the other thread :)

I guess we're stuck with using the stock body posts (TKR7798) for now, right? I've broken 2 already and I'm only 4 packs in.

The OG MT410 could use the Arrma AR320357 Big Rock body posts if you switched to the M2C shock towers, but we don't have that option for the MT48 2.0 yet.

Don't really know where to put this.. I was messing with images from the MT48 and Et48 2.0 manuals i regards to the shock towers, and seeing how the compared. I'm not 100% sure the scale is correct because the MT48 towers appear really short...? Anyway, here are the rear towers from both. The red dots are where holes match up. MT48 in the foreground.

ET48 MT48 Rear tower overlay with red matching holes.webp

6s Copperheads?
Yes!
I unglued a tire this morning and used the 6s Copperheads off of my Sledge to get me to the end of my drive. They're winners and they're staying. They're the best wheels I've had on the truck so far. I'm running a 16t pinion and the motor didn't heat up until the end of the second battery pack so gearing is good. I also stole my Sledge's wheel nuts, they look better on the MT.

Good to hear! I know some people prefer them to Backflips on looser terrain. Are they lighter than 6s Backflips? I know the Corally "Gripper" for the Kagama are supposed to be lighter than Backflip 6s. RC Babou on YT uses them on his MT410 V1 to great effect!
