I have an MT410 build in progress and I'm at the point where I'm attaching the ESC to the mounting plate. I have the Max 8 ESC, and I'm seeing that most people have it mounted with the battery connectors/capacitors on the outer edge. When I test that fitting, the wires to the receiver and power button are pressed tightly against my servo.

Does anyone have a strong opinion about which direction works best?

I ended up going with the capacitors out. What I thought was the wires getting in the way was actually the forward brace. By putting the edge by the brace in first, I could then push in the edge by the mudguard edge and it would fit snugly. It’s nice to be able to run the ESC receiver wire under the mounting plate so there’s less slack in the receiver box.
