I ran searches on eBay over the last month or so looking for another MT410 V1 I could set up as a less technical truck than the one I have. I went overboard on the various technologies you can tack onto these things and really have a FPV vehicle as much as just your run o' the mill MT410. I don't own FPV goggles but do have a transmitter on the truck along with GPS and what is described as a DVR. I can record on a micro SD card on the DVR, which is what I wanted to do.
It's an analog system so the components, even in '19, were pretty cheap.
However, I knew I wanted another 1/8 scale MT410. I've got tons of parts and feel I'd be better off with two.
I was thinking of buying an extended chassis, such as the ET48, and just so happened to find one on the 'bay with it, along with some of the other bits one would like insofar as M2C components are concerned. I never installed the aluminum bulkheads I bought long ago, along with some other components that I know I'll probably not use (or not soon, anyhow) unless I set up another one.
I'm also messing around with using an ESP32 Arduino board in order to use in wheel motors as opposed to one central motor with the drivetrain. If I think I can realistically use the MT410 for that project I might go that route. I can always convert it back if I'm inclined. Long way from being ready for that at this point, however. Yeah, I know all the caveats. It's just a hobby project.
