Picked up a mt410 a month ago. Only upgrade I’ve done is the steel spur gear. I’m running mx38 tires Poseidon 1527 1800kv motor, xl2 esc, and savox 2290 servo. The body is an hpi Land Rover defender. I’ve drywall taped and shoe goo’d the body so I’ll see how long it lasts.

I've been thinking about running waterproof electronics since it rains every time I charge lipos. the xl2 would be a better fit in my srx8 gte since it doesn't have startup current limiting software. i picked up a mamba monster 8s esc. I have a savox 1210 waterproof servo that i can swap with the 2290. Ive been looking at M2c upgrades and the only upgrade i would be interested in is the wide chassis kit. Other than that ill just fix whatever breaks.

Where did you get that body from and what style body is it? Love it now that's a truck look.👍

Got it from Lhs. It looked like it had spent years on the shelf because it was the oldest body in the store. I don't really like the pickup truck body. The body is made by hpi for the savage.

Trying to decide if I want to keep the esc mounted like this or move it on the top of the center diff.

Here's an update on the build. I decided to run the castle b-link setup in this build so i don't have to open the receiver case every time i want to make adjustments on the mt410. The mmx8s esc is more powerful than i expected. Instead of single backflips it does double backflips. I was expecting the motor to get a lil hot during testing but it barely got above 100 degrees. I picked up an m2c esc mount to mount the esc in the throttle servo location. I got an rpm mmx8s esc mount on the way so i can find the best location for the esc. Im thinking the location its in now will provide the lowest cog. Whats everyone else opinions on esc mounting location?

After some testing i realized that the esc and motor is too powerful. I have the esc set to 80% punch control and it still wants to wheelie throughout the power band. I'll probably set it to 100% so i can actually drive it. The b-link is worth every penny I've saved a lot of time being able to program the esc from my phone.

Picked up a tbone wheelie bar.

About a little over a month ago i started hearing a clicking noise coming from the rear gearbox. My first guess was the bearings. Tekno uses some weird size bearings because out of all the bearings i have none would fit. So I ordered some diff housing output bearings and wheel bearings (since a wheel bearing broke also.) Installed everything and the clicking was still present. Next I thought maybe its the diff housing so i changed them front and rear but the clicking was still present. Next I changed the ring and pinion since it was the only thing left that i didn't replace. Once i got everything back together and tested out and the clicking was gone. The cause of the breakage i believe was the mx38 tires i run because they are heavy and the motor since it has a lot of torque. I noticed that the center diff was leaking so i replaced all 3 cases with the tempo steel cases. I also picked up the aluminum motor mount pieces to make the motor mount entirely aluminum.
I took it out last weekend and it was running great until i lost steering. after inspecting it i found that i lost a steering rack bushing. so i grabbed a couple packs of them. i picked up some 3.8 trencher lp tires to keep the ring and pinion intact longer. but the tires didn't do well in the grass like the mx38 did so i switched back.
