So I decided to take the dive with the eb 48 2.2 and start racing. I initially started as a basher with my sct 410.3, sl and most recently 2.0. As time went on, I've been getting an itch to race. Wasn't until I hit a local track that I realized I enjoy racing more and thus I decided to go the route of an eb 48 2.2.

So now onto the question: I've been looking at some upgrade parts for my eb 48 2.2, in this case, there is an exotek aluminum center brace, and an aluminum front brace. My basher mind wants to purchase them to help stiffen up the chassis but as I understand it, you want some chassis flex to help with traction. Well, how big of a difference does it makes with a more stiff brace such as for the center and front? Is it worth it? What about the rear brace? Any input would be appreciated.

Looks like, I'm gonna hijack my own thread but I do have one other question. Anyone know of a saddle pack modification when using the wide side guards for the 2.2? I only ask because depending the electronics I use, there can be quite a weight bias on the corner weights. Being able to divy up the battery weight and perhaps switching esc to the left may help in that.

I haven't seen anyone at the tracks that has put in stiffer braces. A lot of people end up removing the rear and ctr brace for more traction.

I've only seen a couple conversions. It can be done...

I'd put trust in Tekno's designers and those who test the platforms first. Yes?

Ok cool, thanks for the input.

Perhaps yes, but still worth trying out. When I do, I'll have to at some point report back here about it. Thank you for that picture.
