Finished the MT build, paired with a Homes Hobbies wp servo, HW max 6 combo 2200kv motor, spectrum receiver and proline shockwaves for tires. I have ordered T bone wheelie bar and mud guards for a later install. Only thing left is the body. I am thinking a VW Bug or old Ford style pickup. Your thoughts and ideas on this would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Proline now has a basher hard body. Its a solid white only plastic body (Not Clear) with window decals etc. . Not sure if it is 1/10 scale only and if it fits the 1/8 MT410 Probably not, because that body is showcased on the Proline MT which is smaller than the MT410. I am considering this, but doing more research. Not many have been sold yet... its a fairly new product I believe. I believe the promo said it was 3 times thicker than their regular bodies . 040" is standard for their bodies thickness. I have a PL Raptor, but it got destroyed rather fast despite being fully lined with wall tape and E6000(professional version of ShooGoo) before it was even used. I don't bash that hard. PL bodies are so brittle if you ask me. They shatter and split in half many times no matter what you do. I'm always Gorilla taping this body after each session. I also find that E6000 with the Gorilla tape is actually better than glueing drywall tape. But that really weighs down the body for sure.
I know it may sound like heresy, but I did pick up an Arma Notorious body for my MT410. I know it can work by rearranging the rear body posts closer together. That Notorious body is very tough. I know because I also have an Arma Not. It's not a Tekno for sure though. Tekno has so much more precision. The Arma is loose but still tough. In the end I prefer building kits. I attached pictures of The Not. clear body sitting on the MT410. It costs $45. I actually got a second one for free because the Seller packaged 4 cans of paint and the roll bar for this body very tight within the body in a small box and the paint cans destroyed and ruined the included decals inside of the body packaging. The seller couldn't locate another decal sheet because they are not available from Arma as a separate part. They just sent me another body drop shipped from Horizon Hobbies parent company of Arma these days.
I like the look and will do a retro paint job. Copper inside , then white outside so the body looks rusted from scratches and the road rash it will see.
I would recommend when creating the body mount holes at the rear that you create oval/elongated holes. This allows for chassis flex on roll overs to prevent tearing of the body post areas. Arma has been doing this for some time. And its probably why the body is more forgiving to impacts. See the photos.

I have the brute for the PL4x4. It is way too small. I think your idea to use the NOT body is great. Post up your finished pictures would really like to see the finished product.

Wow nice turn out! How’s the fit from chassie to the doors? Inch or smaller?

I think I might want to pick up a bug body! Can someone please provide a link or model number to ensure I get the right one?

Does the bug body work with the stock MT410 body mounts, shock towers etc?

My LHS only had the PL # 3832-02. Looked very similar to 3832-62 minus headlights. Looking up the specs they are the same size.

I also picked up the HPI 1979 f250 that tekno says will fit. It does in length and width however thickness on the sides do not come down to body tray. It will need a little trimming and I need to lower the body posts but still think I’ll end up with a gap between the panels and chassis. Here are a few work in progress pictures to illustrate.

I did the bug also. I like the look but I seem to replace body mounts more. The older trucks seem to hold up better with reinforcing.

Hi, I was just wondering which body mounts you used in this as I’ve got a notorious indestructible body and will be try to install this week. Thanks
