EB48SL w/ Tekin 4300kv & 2S - XT60 or XT90?

New Tekno owner. Buggy came with Deans connectors which was great since I already 5200mah 2S batteries on hand. I've run Deans in all my other rigs for years without any problems but those rigs aren't pulling that much power. The buggy appears to be a different story. They haven't melted any yet but they are dang hot when it's time to change the battery so obviously they need to go. My question is, XT60 or XT90 (or something else)?

I'd go with XT90 no doubt about it. I know they are lighter weight buggies, but still going to be pulling some serious amperage on 2S packs.

Unfortunately my kitchen scale maxes out at 5 lbs. and it's heavier than that. I'll borrow a load cell from the office and get an accurate weight next week.

My SCT410.3 is at 3190g (7 lb 0.52 oz) with heavier Badlands SC tires... I'm guessing the EB48SL is a little less than that with less Lexan. Short course trucks that are heavier/based off of 1/8 scale buggy platforms suck the life out of 2S LiPo powerplants.

I used to run Deans connectors on a 1/8 eBuggy. Then again, a 4S powerplant is more efficient setup and could get away with it. Deans T-plugs used to be sold on lots of 4S LiPo battery packs. Higher traction tracks put more of a load on everything, and Deans are not considered the safe choice? I don't know.

Bottom line, 5mm inboard bullets or XT90 connectors for me and higher current demands.
