SCT410 2.0 or SCT410 SL?

I've wanted to build a Tekno RC kit for a while now, and was pretty much set on an SCT410 2.0. I'd mainly use it for light bashing when I'm running it with my kids who have an Arrma Vorteks BLX and Traxxas Rustler 4x4. The only thing that's made me think twice is the price. I've noticed the sale on the SL recently and was wondering if it would be a good option, or if it's too fragile for what I want? I know the 410 2.0 is basically bulletproof.

Not a fan of the SL, seen too many durability concerns with it, buy once... cry once with the 2.0 which will last a lifetime if you properly care for it

If "bashing" is your sole purpose for an SCT, then the SCT410 2.0 is the better choice most likely. Once you build it and have it in your hands, the beefiness of the parts will surely put a smile on your face.

The SCT410 2.0 just feels different to drive compared to the SCT410SL. It's not a bad thing. It's just that the 2.0's extra weight has me doing things differently on rough track while approaching obstacles.

I "bash" the ET410 platform which people say it's not a "basher". Meh, everybody's "bashing" tendencies/practices are different. How hard you want to "send it" is all up to you and your finger. The ET410 is pure enjoyment for me. That enjoyment is what lead me to buying the SCT410SL.

All I can say is, I love the way the SCT410SL handles/drives. So much so, I went out and bought a couple more . I got to get crackin' on those builds... too many projects at the moment. The only durability issue I had with the SL was the one shock cap skipped a few threads on hard landing. You will ultimately want to get the aluminum shock caps to have on hand with either of the SCT platforms.
