Update…it’s finished.🤩 Tekin RX8 GEN3/Tekin gen3 4038 2000 kv. 16t pinion, cell count 4s, ESC set to 7.4 (yeah $65 for Hotwire 3.0)😵‍💫 giving the Promodeler enough power. AKA wheels and tires.Plus my first ever airbrush body which is a second body extra for practice.I’m not able to take it out to a track until next week. But it’s very impressive up and down the street. I don’t think the body will hold up very well due to the fact that I may have scored the masking a little hard.
Of course a few “semi “ glamour shots.

Edit…back story on the flames. My daughter is in the earring business and makes flames earrings. She has an old used stencil and said “ dad use this “. The rest is history 🤷

The oddest thing is that after everything was bound and calibrated, everything was in reverse. Throttle and steering… so I just switched on my Tx. Yes wiring is correct, A to A , B to B, C to C. Everything plugged into receiver properly. No big deal, but I’m a perfectionist, anyone has input please share.

I always wondered as well. Guessed that is incompatibility between brands. This is why Transmitters have a reverse setup to easily solve the problem.

Yes sir 😉 , but accidentally not switching on the rx results in this

I should know better than to stand behind a heavy powerful rig and hitting the trigger.

Ouch. Looks good though, we met up with our bashing group and we brought all our Tekno’s to give them a workout. My little 4s ET48 was gaining ground on a Kraton 8s in our open race. I got mixed up with a car in the first race so I was tentative in the start of the second one and managed to avoid the carnage in the big corner and had a great finish. Really tempted to either build a mt410 now or just pickup a second et48 and turn it into a basher. I ran it on my backflip lp’s and if I raised the suspension for another 5mm or so of ride height I think it would do great out in the heavy grass fields like we were in today.

I’m gonna play devils advocate and say go for the MT410 , they are different animals.

If I build one it’ll probably be on an xl chassis. I have my Fireteam setup so it’s a great basher and is actually handling really good. I let one of the other guys in our bashing group drive it today and he was shocked at how much better it felt than his. I prefer the Fireteam over my Kraton and TLR Typhon out in the grass. The Kraton is a better jumper but the Fireteam now handles better. So far I’m stoked with the Tekno’s and could pretty much sell all my Arrma’s except my 8s outcast.

Spare parts. The little square block with the tab hanging out of it is a spacer if you pull the middle brace out. It fills the gap where the brace goes under the center diff plate. Not sure on the others as I haven’t built an Eb yet.

Love those bash-racing weekends.

Did exactly that after buying my first EB48,4, sold all my Traxxas stuff and went all in on Tekno. One brand (Tekno), one scale (1/8), have all flavors of the platform (ET48.3, MT410 SWB & LWB) and enough spares to never worry about it.

So I sent my wife the link to the mt410 on Amain as a Father’s Day gift idea. I’ll let you guys know how that works out :ROFLMAO:

I expect a full page report on the performance of that servo. A six month follow up report is a must as well. (y) 💪

Will do! Bench test and up and down the street are impressive. Taking it out tomorrow for a proper run. I have a HV receiver on the way and/or may add this. Would love to see how it performs on 8.4v

Took it out for the maiden run today. I’m very pleased 😀. The Tekin combo delivered smooth substantial power upon demand with the Powerhobby Pro 4S 6000mAh 100 C battery. Although it was very hot to the touch after about 25 minutes of run time. I forgot my IF thermometer 😝. I’m running a 16t pinion. Should I drop a tooth or two, maybe a fan? BEC was set at 6v , Promodeler still functioned nicely. I will be bumping it up to 7.4 next time out. I’m seriously considering using the castle external BEC set to 8.4😉 AKA tires handled the hard pack and loose dirt well, and sailed over the jumps with grace at the Oakley Headquarters track.

I wouldn't be too surprised with it being warm/hot after 25 minutes of running on a track. I'm running a 16t on mine with a 2250kv hw setup and it gets warm but hasn't been hot enough for me to grab the thermometer to check it yet.

Took it out for it’s second run today to Regency RC track. Put in the HV receiver , 4-8.4 v requirement. Servo is Lightning fast. BEC set at 7.4, still watching my motor temps. A little cooler today.
This is not my video but it’s where I go in addition to Oakley. I’m no good at making videos.

Cheez this happened to me with a Castle motor and mamba monster x sensored system. Everything was where it was suppose to be like you said. What I ended up doing was going into the calibrations with castle link, (Hotwire for you) and reverse the motor rotation. That will fix your throttle being reversed without switching around wires.

Anyways really enjoyed your build. Are you running the stock chassis it’s hard to tell or is that a M2C variant?
