What's difference between a EB-48 2.0 and 2.2 parts wise?

I recently acquired a bunch of older rc cars , trucks, and tons of parts. One of the cars is the EB-48. I'm looking for parts for it and can't seem to find much.? Maybe to old? Question is will parts from newer versions work? Mainly looking to rebuild the diffs and gear boxes. Or upgrade if possible? Thanks in advance for any and all help, kinda new to this world but a quick learner..

Welcome to the fold.

I see the gearboxes are still available. If you download the EB48.3 manual, you'll see the gearboxes and diff cases. I don't think you'll have any trouble with getting diffs built.

generally most parts are interchangeable between EB48, EB48SL, the .3 and .4

The 2.0 was a major overhaul with practically no interchangeable parts though everything is forward compatible from 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2

If the pill inserts in the A-D blocks are oval shaped then you have a .1 or .2
If they are square then you have a .3 or .4

From there we can isolate further
