Used EB48 2.2 Rebuild Question

Hi, so I purchased a used EB48 2.2, I’m wanting to rebuild the diffs and shocks. Looking at the manual I see there are quite a few option parts. Should I be buying the option parts? Or just go with what is in the kit? Is there such thing a a diff rebuild kit or shock rebuild kit? Or even a listing or part numbers I should order to do this? I have the car completely broken down and piece by piece going in the ultrasonic cleaner. Figure now would be the time to do this if so. Thanks!

No shock, or diff rebuild kits. If you have not driven the buggy yet... put 'er back together with box stock setup on it so you have a great starting point to go by.

If you don't know when the last time the vehicle was serviced then you definitely want to put in fresh fluids. Now is the time to fill out a setup sheet or use a recommended setup provided by someone with similar driving conditions for your area. Okay. So in the manual I see a lot of “option” parts, are some of those upgrades or what is in there as the standard parts the best?

Only invest in upgrades if you are racing competitively and need to change your tuning window, some upgrades may be for durability, but box stock is pretty tough as is, so if just bashing around then stay with box stock parts

The only thing I've changed on my et48 2.2 so far is getting rid of the plastic sway bar collars. I did the same thing on my eb48 2.1. There probably fine but I did it for piece of mind.

What has been said here already is great advice and I don’t disagree. I wouldn’t do any option parts until you drive it a bit. Different shock springs will be needed after you learn to drive it, or maybe they won’t. Otherwise set it up like stock and go from there. Don’t change too much at a time
