410 2.0 Top Plate: It'll Be Okay

When I started to change some worn out hardware on the SCT I noticed another area that has some super tight tolerances...

Using the optional aluminum steering rack bushing will most likely be in my future.

For now, Dr.Emel and sanding drum...

I will add that it takes a lot of force, by hand, to recreate what's needed to get the steering rack bushing to rub on the top plate. The rubbing shown above is two years worth of fun. Just moving the steering rack by hand and you'll most likely not even notice.

My aluminum steering rack bushings showed up the other day, but I'm going to hold off installing them. It looks like we got plenty of clearance now...
