I used to much thread lock and the screw head broke off on the motor mount...

How can I salvage this??

There is a tiny tiny amount, even if I was able to dremle a cut for a screw driver, that thing wont want to come out because of the thread lock...
Also the three bottom screw under tha chasie arnt budging either.

This may not help you now, but in the future it does help if you use a lighter and heat up the area around the screw.

yep, in this case though there is a plastic cover that attaches over it to lock the center diff in. Will buy a small kitchen torch and have a go at it

You can get screw extractors pretty cheap on Amazon, even if it doesn't work for this they're great to have for stripped screws, a lot easier than dremeling a slot.

You don't have enough of a stub poking up so I think you'll be buying a new motor mount. I doubt if the thread lock is the problem. I think the screw seized in the motor mount. Possibly oxidation or dirt or both.

Ooof. That brings back memories. 🤪
That sucks.
EZ Outs, and three busted reverse drill bits later... tossed mine in Tekno warranty bin for a later day.

yeah...i've tried a blow torch and tried getting the bottom three off...no luck.
I also tried a center punch method to see if i could loosen the chaises screws, no luck either...

I might try and saw the mount off the chassis at this point and only hopefully have to replace the motor mount.

For the screws that go through the chassis a screw extractor should definitely work. And if not, you can just drill the heads off with a bigger drill bit.

I’ve screwed up a few holes by trying to drill a small screw that close to a mount…(my hands aren’t that steady)…which then leaves you tapping it out to the next size if you’re in a pinch and can’t get a new mount
Nonetheless, I’ve had a much higher success rate (as mentioned above w/ a small butane torch to free the loc-tite and some needle nose vice-grips (quality ones that actually put pressure at the tip of the pilers). As along as there is some bit sticking out you can grip without breaking off; heat the mount (not from the top or by the broken screw tip) after they’re attached and make sure you‘ve got the VGs positioned 90 degrees and straight to the hole, then slowly twist…if you get a couple of threads out….you’re pretty much there….just re-grip again (and keep mount hot-not glowing red *just toasty to the touch*) and you’ll get it. If you break off any part of what’s left before you get it moving out, you’re probably in for a new motor mount. Good luck🤙

If you’ve got the motor mount out and have a solid square bench vise that can get some purchase on the broken screw use that and heat instead of VGs and twist the mount off the screw.
