As the title suggests I’m interested in recommendations for Hobbywing brushless motor and ESC combo.

I have a castle set up now, but it’s been a little glitchy, so I’m interested in trying something else.

3s. It’s just for general bashing. Still like something nice. I’m fairly new to this and went castle because they have a guide on their site that gives recommendations for specific cars.

I have a mamba x with a 1415-2400kv motor now.
That motor kv would have been my pick for 3S LiPo as well. I don't have Castle's 1415 motor, I have a 140A/3668 2400kv EZRun combo ready to go in my monster SCT410 2.0 and I'm hoping 🤞 it'll be "enough motor" for 2.8" wheels/tires. If the motor runs too hot, I'm going to a larger can. I run three of the same EZRun G2/G3 combos in my other SCTs and have had great success. The only thing about them is the propriety sensor cable.

They do sell an adaptor though.

As far as the glitching goes, and you liked your motor, have you tried another sensor cable?

I haven't tried another sensor cable. I did buy the correct cable and installed it when I built the car.

Castle kits that come with an adapter from the factory. Castle sells the correct cable separatly. I really don't know why they don't package them that way from the factory.

@RustyUs I went ahead and ordered what you recommended.

I'll probably also try another sensor cable and see if that makes a difference to my Castle set up .
