Hello all, I’m piecing together parts for my upcoming EB48 2.2 build and I’m looking to grab batteries. I plan on dabbling in amateur racing but most of my driving with this thing will be light bashing. No crazy jumps and flips, just makeshift courses in nearby parks/dirt lots and I plan to try out some local official tracks for the first time.

My ideal batteries would be the Gens Ace Bashing ones since I’m fully committed with their chargers, it’s convenient and I’ve had good experience with them - I also just like uniformity with all my other 2S, 3S and 6S Gens Ace Bashing batteries, if reasonable. I also have bashing vehicles that can run 4S that I’d like the ability to use them in easily.

That being said, the Gens Ace Bashing batteries are a bit long from what I can find online. I’ve found threads with a bit of conflicting info and nothing official from Tekno on max battery size for this car.

Can anyone help me out in confirming if these batteries would be a solid choice for this vehicle or is it just ridiculously too big/bulky for the car?

Gens Ace G-Tech 4S Bashing Series Hardcase LiPo Battery 120C (14.8V/7800mAh)

159.1 x 47.2 x 42.2 mm

Gens Ace G-Tech Smart 4S LiPo Battery 100C (14.8V/8000mAh)

159x54x43mm

Gens Ace Bashing Pro 4S G-Tech Smart LiPo Battery Pack 100C (14.8V/11000mAh)

178.5x53.6x51.6mm

Any help, thoughts is much appreciated in advance. Thanks all!

All of those batteries are too long. Max length on the battery tray is ~140mm and width is ~48mm.

Sorry for the necro...

First Techno build (ET48.2.2) and it has been a bit frustrating.

The single most frustrating thing has been battery size. It's like it's something everyone knows, so never says. I find that most models don't give clear direction on physical dimensions.

Bought Bashing series batteries, too long. Oh well, live and learn. They'll work in my XMaxx, but this frustration of battery dimensions has been so frustrating that it really turns me off of RC in general. Not the first time I've struggled to find specs for my RC's. You'd think this would be very freaking clear in instructions, but it never is.

Follow that up with frustrations mounting an ESC (Max8 4278), and it's maddening.
