Sometimes I just get that itch to change things up. I love the looks of the 1/8 buggies but I don't need 4-6s power. Figured I would convert my SCT10.3 into a EB48 SL. I currently have a xerun XR8 Pro in it with 4300kv motor. I may just keep it that way or try a lower KV motor on 3s at some point. I'll post picks once I get the parts in and start tinkering!

That's a great idea. :)

I love my two SCT410.3 trucks that I converted into EB48'ish 1/8 buggies.

All I did was remove the side bars, attach EB48.4 buggy bodies with Velcro, remove the truck bumpers, install EB48 front bumpers and attach EB48 wing mounts with wings.

They drive and fly great on big 1/8th scale outdoor tracks.

If I go to an indoor track that is strictly 1/10th scale vehicles only, I just reattach the SCT mounts and put on a short course body.

I've also had good luck just talking to the track owners and showing them that these buggies are still 1/10 short course trucks with light 2S electronics and small SCT tires.

(Yes, I know they need to be cleaned and the bodies are trashed. The orange one is 9 years old and the yellow one is 7 years old with literally 1,000s of practice laps on each of them.)

Welcome to the fold! SCT wheels/tires... that👆👆would be something I'd do.

I am going full eb48SL. I ordered some Jconcepts ellipse clay tires and some of their 1/8 buggy wheels.

I built a MT410 2.p that I am thinking of turning into a SCT. We will see where my ADHD brain takes me.

I won a Cayote Crest 8 ESC from rctalk.com, so I am putting that in to test out. Seems very similar to Hobbywing, but only runs 4s.

I love this EB48SL. It handles very well and looks great doing it... and I don't have to listen to the constant slap of the sct body.
