I'm building an ET48 2.0 for racing using a Tekin Rx8 with 2000kv truggy motor. How much mah is needed? Choices are narrowed down to gens ace 6000mah, 7500mah or pro tek 6500mah. The gens ace 6000 is the lightest by 100g. What would you guys recommend?

It really comes down to preference, track layout and what your needs are.

For a tight technical track a smaller 5Ah pack might do well which a lighter truck will be more nimble to snap around the corners more aggressively.

For a large high speed track with big air, a larger 7.5Ah pack will add weight and increase stability, plus will ensure you can last a full 10 min mains which are typical for larger tracks and 5Ah is better suited for shorter 8 min mains which are typical on smaller tracks.

There is no right/wrong, it comes down to what you want... if stability is more important, then try the larger pack first and ask someone to borrow a smaller/lighter pack to experiment later and feel the difference once you've got used the heavier pack.
