Tekno released a few lately. Anything coming up soon that we should look out for as I am itching for another one. One you build one or two Tekno’s , hard to look elsewhere. Besides I’m equipped with tools mostly for this brand haha.

MT45 12s?
There's good money in the basher market and Tekno has already has a name there. There is no shame in diversification as long as they maintain their quality.

As much as I’d love to build a 1/5th or 1/6th 12s Tekno to go head to head with an M2C modded armma mega kraton xl 12s It’s just never gonna happen in my humble opinion.
Every single Hobby store that you walk into has a wall of Traxxas and a wall of Armma cars and parts, but only a select few have even a couple new Tekno’s and parts, and those are the places that have a race track either attached or are very close to an eighth scale track.
I’d love to be surprised and have Tekno release something like that but the mt410 2.0 was nearly dead on arrival, (I built a 4s one, it’s cool) but from what I can tell it’s pretty niche.
Then the mt48 2.0 came out and the pearl clutching OG MT410 owners hissed at that one too. Although it is a much higher quality kit (and appropriately sized) than the mt410 2.0 and arguably better than the OG MT410.
I contacted M2C both via email and then commented on one of their Facebook posts that us Tekno fans really need a set of A,B,C,D blocks for the new MT48 2.0 and Avery said in the email that “they haven’t gotten to that truck yet” but then later commented on the Facebook post said that “they hadn’t heard much about that truck” (that was a week ago)
And I don’t blame him. I’m willing to bet that Tekno owners are a very small percentage of his sales, and he’s probably still sitting on a bunch of stock for the OGMT410 and the older truggies that doesn’t sell well.
Vitavon has built some stuff for the MT48 but they haven’t built the ABCD blocks yet which is the most breakable component, That leaves the mt48 owners with ADU parts? Thats rock bottom stuff right there.
I think the RC market is really close to seeing Vitavon build a complete truck that will out perform both Traxxas and Armma’s 6s and 8s line, I love my Tekno’s but even I can see that the Vitavon parts are very high-quality and they are coming up fast. And everything is from China/Taiwan including Tekno so that’s not really in the conversation anymore.
It’s so crazy that people buy 6s and 8s traxxas and Armma trucks for 1100$ and quite literally have to put several hundred dollars in them before they are even stable right out of the box. Then it’s common place to see these rigs with another 2K in them to keep them going over time. A guy could get a brand new top end NB48 2.2 and a Futaba 10, and still have money for tires and a pit box for the money people spend on an Xmaxx with required upgrades.
.
That being said Tekno is going to continue to dominate the eighth scale world for racing, (while looking over our shoulder at Xray to see if they go global)
.
Of course, we’ll see the new eighth scale kits pretty soon,
.
And I think we’ll see a revision of the eb410,et410,sct410sl
Chassis within the first part of this year, but I am a little bit concerned that they’re going to share parts off of the sct410 2.0/mt410 2.0 lineup instead of giving everybody what they actually want, which would be a lighter EB410 that could actually compete with the team associated cars.

Interesting post! Your are the first person I've heard say they think Tekno will revise the 10th scale buggy and truggy line.

I think a lot of people believe they may focus exclusively on 8th scale racing because they are dominating (as you said). And also because they may not come up with something that truly competes with the lighter 10th scale Team associated, Xray, TLR, etc (as you also said).

They have at least 1 buggy sold already if they do revise the EB410. It's time for a new buggy for me, and I'd like to stay with Tekno. So it sounds like you're saying I should start to put some $ aside??? 😜
