Took it out for it's first run over the weekend had a bit of dilemma trying to find the right wheels with 17mm hex adapters. Anyway long story short a high speed jump not crazy amount of air or anything, the car was spinning sideways and a wheel flew as the drive shaft snapped.

My impressions are yes this is driver error but in addition my thoughts are the wheels are too big for the car causing extra strain on the drive shaft. The big wheels are pro line trenchers LP. I'm going to swap them to the pro line badlands Mx28 belted with the 17mm hex adapters.

Oh my. I sure do hope the 2.8 work out better for you. I look forward to seeing your update. ;)
Cheers, just waiting for my pro line 6x30mm 17 hex adapters and should be ready to rip again.

Yes in comparison to the new ones i got. Lets hope no more drive shaft snapping
Yeah, those look more appropriate. I think you will be good now.

I am an RC novice here and getting 17mm hex adapters caused some confusion with wheel choices and scale. Nevertheless, I have seen people run the same wheels so happy to test them out soon :).

Are you going with ProLine's PRO633600 6x30 17mm Hex Adapters?

I didn't even know these things existed until today. ☺️

Yep those are the ones :), should be arriving today. I also got a GPM metal spur gear to replace the composite one.

I hope the driveshafts are able handle that wheel/tire combo, 'cause that's the size I planned on using for my next SCT410 2.0 ride.
I did snap another driveshaft in my back garden when launching it off a ramp. Luckily I had a spare one but the car landed on the back rear wheel probably why it snapped.

I replaced it and took it to my local park and did a few jumps and car is back in 1 piece.
Tyre combo is fine now handles better and no ballooning on the wheels at 4s

Well, crap. Most my 1/10 scale RCs only see 4' high flat landing jumps. How high are you jumping your MT?

About 4ft off the floor maybe even less than that in my garden on grass
Make sure you release the throttle on landing. A lot of the breakage is user error and you’ll naturally find yourself doing less damage after a while.

How are those plastic proline hexes holding up? They are the only brand of plastic wheel hexes that i have destroyed. 3 of them lasted about 8 minutes on my lasernut converted to Tekno m6 driveshafts.
