It depends of conditions.... I prefer 17, and 6s also)
Initially I tried 14T and 15T on 4S but still unable to do standing backflips so I will be trying 17T. 6S might be too ballistic for me. Thank for the feedback.

How's your gear mesh with the 17T pinion set in the 17T holes in the engine mount?
I've had to set mine 1 up on the engine mount i.e. 15T pinion set in 16T holes to get the proper gear mesh.

I had no problem put 17 to 17 holes, but i didn't try stock composite spur, I have metall tekno

What brand pinion are you using?

Hmm.. That doesn't make sense. The mesh with our pinions should be good. If you loosen the 2 screws that go into the motor and then push it to the side (away from the spur) it should be fine. Not all motors have the same hole spacing, some have 25mm and some have 25.4mm. The screw holes are enlarged to accommodate both so there should be some wiggle room there.

I’ll give that a try if the mesh is too tight. Thanks for the tip.

I have some incoming Turnigy 6s batteries. Just checking if anyone here has tried 6s with 17T pinion? I've only seen videos of 15T with 6s..

It would depend on the motors kv rating. What motor are you currently running (or planning on running)?

That setup would be super fast, depending on tire size you could be anywhere from a calculated 60-80mph. Personally I like 14-15 tooth pinion with that motor. That way I can go between 4 and 6s depending on what kind of driving I'm doing.
