As a basher my knowledge of diff setups is limited. My new truck is a MT48 2.0 and comes stock with the diffs set up 200/200/100. This seems to me to be a strange setup for a truck that weighs less than 11lb. What is your opinion? What do you recommend? The truck will be 4s with a 1515 motor and Badland LP wheels.

In my OG MT410 I run 60/100/30, as per recomendation of RazorRC and that's on 4s. It drives and handles super nice, can basically do standing backflips although sometimes I feel the center diff could be run a bit thicker, it took my friend (with no RC experience since childhood) around 3-5 minutes to get dialed in and used to my RC. Always fun to share the backflips with your friend :) Stock oils was also fine and it all depends on what you're looking for.

It is a nimble and capable car, a lot of joy to drive since it does it so well, the diff setup I run keep it that way too.

Your driving style may be way different from the next person.

Unless a person has a very similar platform, and it is setup exactly as to what's going to be used on the MT48 2.0, probably best to start with box stock setup. I'd put faith into the testing that's done by those Tekno RC personnel.

Speaking of testing, all the promo pictures on Tekno's site shows many different tires used on the MT48 2.0... makes me wonder if they were all tested and then a general consensus was used to finalize fluid/oil numbers before manuals went to print.

Run it. Break it in. Adjust for your monster truck madness level.
