The rumour that I heard is that Tekno will focus on 8th scale this year and that will revolve around the Worlds, then next year there will be a re-release of 10th scale cars.

This industry is so weird with communication. Just total radio silence— no discussion or sharing of plans or anything. Not picking on Tekno here, they all seem to do this.

Compared to the gaming industry, R/C mfgs are basically mute! 😆

china can copy very fast and release before mfgs. I think this is smart move

I dunno…

Announcing your general plans to evolve your 1/10 platform, or even details about a specific vehicle, doesn’t give China anything to copy…

It’s not like I want them to post the CAD files online!

Well….. most rc everything is made in china anyways so …..

My country's supplier for Tekno, a lovely man who is quite reliable, has on his web store that the EB410.2 is "discontinued".

I just bought an EB410 2 (used car)
I hope we’ll be able to find spare parts for a while.

Tekno is renowned for continued support of its vehicles. Not not like my Associated DB8 Nomad which I basically have to trash because their subcontractor went under.

Tekno advise updated model releases in 3 to 6 months... Probably a day one purchase for me
Ditto

Yeah, my dream RC, the Nomad DB8, had only been out about a year when I got all those emails about backordered parts for my T4/SC10/RC8.2eFT rides. They basically said, "You are outta luck Rusty... time to move on.":confused:
planet of the apes GIF

Since I had no spare parts hoarded away for it, that was the day I decided to sell my RC8.2e buggy. I didn't know about Team Associated parts supplier going under until years later.

The great thing about that 👆👆👆, I ended up with my first Tekno... ET410. Everyone always told me Tekno RCs were tough, and has great support for their RCs once they get discontinued. As long as people have an interest in and keep buying parts for Tekno's discontinued platforms, they'll keep making the parts for 'em. That's what I'm bankin' on.
