Finally my ET48 is ready to hit the track’s. I’ve had it ready for about a week now and was hoping to maiden it this weekend before posting but won’t be able and I just wanted to share the final result.
First time using tape instead of fast mask on a paint job. I figured it would give me better straight lines for the design I ended up doing.
Set up wise, I ended up leaving shocks in the standard position, I'll take it on from there. Ride height fully loaded has good clearance with the arms just a tad above being totally parallel to the ground. Happy with the camber and toe angels, just do them by eye. Ended up not doing any openings to the body for increased air flow, might do them later on if needed.
Mud guards couldn’t decide on color so will leave them clear or just put some stickers on.
So there it is, looking forward to firing it up pretty soon to familiarize with its driving dynamics and immediately after have it’s second ever pack over at Mills Pond race track. I think this rig, with this particular set up, will be more at home at race track than anywhere else so initially planning on racing it though probably will end up bashing it.
Will be running a 6500mah protek lihv 4s, and starting out with a 16 tooth pinion.
As always, building this kit was pure pleasure every step of the way.
Best to all and happy bashing.
