Should everything come together, I hope this list helps people just getting started because the amount of time spent researching was obscene. I'll be posting my progress along the way and I'm sure I'll have a question or 10 along the way.

Thanks to everyone on the forums past and present for the information that got me this far. Also props to Amain Hobbies for running a really fine business. The vast majority of my parts are from their site.

If you see anything wrong with the list or build that I screwed the pooch on, feel free to let me know. I can take it and hope to learn more along the way. The barrier to entry on this project was surprisingly large (and growing).

I’d suggest adding orange permatex in your build for the grub screws for the diff couplers!

I saw your ordered in the game changer v2 mega brace? Do you plan on running the stock chassis? I’d double check to see if that brace works…

I would prolly start with the 16t pinion… I actually went up to 17t atm.

Also some ar green slime/protek blue grease for the shocks…

Your list looks really good!

If it works, it is going to be really, really tight :) I saw someone on the forum that managed to make it work with zero room to spare. The old brace was out of stock when I ordered so I figured I would give it a try.

I hope to. I'll be running it on grass quite a bit so I'm a little worried about temps.

Thanks for the tips!

Build update.

If I had to do anything over so far, I'd avoid the M2C diffs. The shims are a pain and diff fluid rising through the screw locations is a real problem. They should rework the drill depth to stop before going all the way through. I suspect the screws will eventually work out despite thread lock since the threads got soaked in fluid. The only way to avoid it is to guess on the fluid level (no settle) and cap/screw it before the fluid rises through the holes. It also changes the fluid level since the screws displace the fluid back into the diff.

The All Racing gearboxes are really nice but the ones I received won't allow the shock towers to mount without filing down the machining edges on the bearing housing. Took a deep breath and filed away...

I'm getting closer to letting this rip but I had a quick question. My spur gear has a little slop to the left and right. I assume this is play is intentional because it is simply the bearing moving inside the aluminum mount. Can anyone confirm that this is normal?

Thanks!

There is slope in front to back direction, not in the left to right. Although, even if you had some, I don’t believe it is a big deal.
Interesting. I have the same amount of play in all directions. It doesn't seem to impact the mesh enough to matter but it seems off enough to make me question it. I attempted to rebuild the center mount but the result is the same. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I went with the 16 tooth pinion. The build is running great after 6 packs. I haven't drilled the towers yet and the motor fan hasn't been split but here are some pics.

The servo was a major pain to fit. It is too wide and long to fit without modification. Other than that, the build was very straight forward. Thanks again to everyone that posted before me to make this possible for a first timer.
