First build, newbie question

Almost finished with 410.3 kit. I thought I installed the 11 tooth pinion correctly but the teeth aren’t making contact with the differential, even though the 5212 seems to be bottomed out. This is clearly my mistake - I haven’t had luck searching this forum for the solution. Ideas? Thank you

I don’t believe a 11t pinion will fit. Smallest to fit with a 36mm motor can is likely to be 14t.

Do you have the center brace installed? If so, remove it and the 11t pinion may fit. I'm 99% sure a 12t will fit with the center brace removed, but I haven't run a pinion that small in a long time.

Thank you. I should have known sand asked before purchasing. even though I have seen postings of different motor/pinion combinations the manual said “tkr4171-4190” which pulled up an 11 on the tekno site. I wish the instructions said “find an appropriate pinion size” rather than give a specific part number
