Finishing up the new SCT. Thanks to all of you who share hints and tips and experiences. They make the build so much easier. I am really enjoying my new hobby. Now to work on my abysmal lap times..

I just got my kit today. Since you recently completed your kit, any tips or advice as I start mine?

Yes, choose a slightly different set up than the stock set up. The instructions are awesome but it it is super front heavy over some jumps. Look at some set ups from Bill and others on this site. It is a tank and damn near unbreakable, but it it flies like like an albatross that has a brick in its mouth.

Be careful with the shock caps and get an aluminum servo arm. Also, be careful with the body mounts. I have used zip ties to tighten them to the shock towers and added washers to the shock mounts. The plastic is soft and if you go low on your shock mounts the top of the body mounts are very flexible and pop off.

Good luck and enjoy. It is a pleasure to assemble and fun to drive, just needs some help in the air.
