Hi, Have a bit of a problem with my first build. Not sure if the amount of play in the rear drive is normal, it doesn't feel like it to me...
I built according to the manual, only adding M2C/Allracing centre braces where required. I have since swapped the washers on the rear outer a-arm for longer wheelbase, but it was acting like this before. If i hold the rear driveshaft, the wobble is reduced.. Both sides are the same. Don't want to start shimming/packing out anything before i know if I'm just being a perfectionist..

Picture speaks a thousand words... Sorry first ever video, first ever upload...
Any input very much appreciated!

*EDIT* Forgot to mention there is play at the bulkhead end too but i was hard to film. Added together it all feels a bit cheap... Apart from that, the build has been great, really loved every minute and learnt loads!!!

All brands of vehicles require you to invest in shims to fill the gap, also note that you want to use plastic shims to create less wear on the arms/inserts and you need to periodically add shims to account for wear.

Although I no longer run TEKNO, they are well known for being one of the highest quality brands on the market.

I would encourage you to read the following thread as well:

I appreciate i will need to shim things in time as part of general maintenance I'm just wondering if this amount of play is normal or not? The front feels very nice, and silky smooth.

One of the reasons i went with Tekno was for the quality.

Thanks for the link to Maintenance Tips, very useful. And another new use for the already very handy shock tool!

Glad to be of help and yes, it's common to have that much play because of all the different possible tuning options on the pill inserts, it's impossible to have the same slop depending on the angle you have chosen.
